Five young volunteers visited the project Youth@Work taking place in Traisteni, Romania in March 2024. Here is their story:
Hello from the Slovak team! Our group of five embarked on an unforgettable journey to Traisteni, Romania, for a youth exchange program under Erasmus+. Some of us were newbies, while the rest had experienced a youth exchange before.
Each day started with a little energizer, getting us ready for workshops and discussions about youth unemployment.
Interacting with participants from Poland, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Romania, we had the chance to share our diverse perspectives and explain to each other how things work in our own countries. It was a valuable exchange of ideas and insights into different approaches to common challenges.
But it wasn’t all serious. We dived into Romanian culture, trying out local food and exploring Bucharest. Additionally, each team presented their country during the cultural evening, offering a unique glimpse into their culture, traditions, and cuisine. And we made some awesome new friends along the way! We connected with like-minded individuals from Europe and formed an international bond that we believe will last a lifetime.
This whole trip was a game-changer. We left Romania with new knowledge and grateful hearts. Big thanks to everyone who made it happen!
